Accounts Receivable Clerk.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Receiving, counting, logging and recording contributions from weekly masses and other events and parish sources;
  • Transmitting checks electronically to parish bank account;
  • Transporting and depositing weekly contributions to bank;
  • In-depth understanding of, and compliance with, Archdiocesan policy and procedure on handling and recording of contributions and accounts receivable;
  • Preparing and reconciling contributions from a variety of sources and preparing records documenting contributions using Excel;
  • Candidate will be point person for all aspects of Archbishop’s Annual Appeal;
  • Facilitating and communicating to parish members progress toward parish goal for Archbishop’s Annual Appeal;
  • Reconciling and reporting on contributions from large Hispanic community, including but not limited to ensuring advance pay requests are properly prepared, recorded and reconciled and managing contracts with private and public event facilities.
Qualifications: Candidate needs to be a person of integrity, especially in regard to the handling of funds; be able to exercise independent judgment and develop and maintain a consistent, timely schedule of activities related to funds management; a Roman Catholic in good standing with a sound understanding of and value for the teachings of the faith, especially as they relate to stewardship of time and money; demonstrated skills in strategic planning; willing to work collaboratively with pastoral staff, lay ministers, volunteers and parishioners; strong work ethic and commitment to confidentiality.
Position Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish/English) with an Associate’s degree in business or accounting; at least two consecutive years of experience in physical and digital funds management. Exceptional skill with Excel and a CRM (customer relationship management) system. High level of numeric accuracy and attention to detail is a must. This is an onsite position only, Monday through Friday, in an indoor environment. This is a non-exempt position.
