Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church is staffed by the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, a religious Order dedicated to making known the message of Our Lady at La Salette, a call to healing of inner brokenness and personal reconciliation with God especially as found in the first three commandments. The missionaries are popularly known as “the La Salettes.”

Meet Our Priests

Father Brian Sheridan

His first assignment was to be Parochial Vicar at the Church of St. Ann in Marietta, GA. Following the call to serve the foreign missions he was sent to Argentina where he served in Clodomira, Santiago del Estero. He returned to the U.S. in 1992 to become Director of the La Salette Mission Office in Hartford, CT. He served briefly as Shrine Director in Altamont, N.Y. before becoming Pastor of Good Shepherd Parish in Orlando, FL. His most recent assignment was as Pastor at Our Lady of Sorrows, Hartford, CT. Fr. Brian was appointed as our new pastor beginning January 3, 2013 and as Dean for the Northwest Metro Deanery of the Archdiocese of Atlanta in February 2015.

Born in Marion, NC, Deacon Earl was ordained a Permanent Deacon of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, LA, on June 10, 2006, at St. Louis Cathedral where he was also confirmed. His initial assignments as an Archdiocesan Deacon were St. James Major Catholic Church and the Chaplin for the Ozanam Inn, both located in New Orleans, his adopted hometown.

Retired from Shell Oil, Royal Dutch Group, he and his family moved to the foothills of northwest Georgia in 2007. He is married to Mrs. Assunta Gourrier Jackson. They have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. Two of his many personal interests are studying world & bible history, and traveling with Assunta. His services at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Parish include liturgies, premarital counseling, premarital preparations, baptisms, along with conducting Church and Homebound Eucharistic Ministry training seminars.

A native of Bartow, Florida, Deacon Michael was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on February 4, 2006. His personal interests include reading, antique glass, and bowling. Ministry interests include Baptism, RCIA, Bereavement, and Liturgy.
